BASIC ECT Training: RANZCP CPD endorsed Basic ECT Training is meant for early career Psychiatrists, advanced Trainees, Senior Registrars who are at the transition of practicing as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychiatrists who wish to commence or recommence prescribing, administering ECT in a Public or Private setting. This is designed as a 2-day Training course covering the theoretical and practical aspects including hands-on aspects of training to achieve requisite competencies in patient selection, deciding the modality of treatment and administering treatment safely and ethically. The hands-on training also includes familiarization with the ECT Machine and its use. This course is offered three times a year.
REFRESHER ECT Training: Therapeutic Brain Stimulation group also provides Refresher training in ECT which is meant to provide advanced knowledge in specific topics based on latest research to practitioners already prescribing and administering ECT. To be able to do refresher training, the applicant should have previously completed a basic training course and be already accredited to do ECT. This Refresher Training is also RANZCP CPD endorsed. This is also offered three times a year in a hybrid format (F2F and / or online) depending upon the participants group.
The Therapeutic Brain stimulation Group conducts Basic TMS Training courses enabling Psychiatrists and Practitioners to gain all the required skills and competencies to deliver TMS to patients safely and ethically as required under the standards formulated by RANZCP. The TMS Training course includes both theoretical and practical hands-on components and is RANZCP CPD Endorsed. The TMS training courses are offered three times a year
